Matt Niemitz is a product and team leader with 15+ years of experience creating innovative education, marketplace, and community products.

As the Sr. Director of Product at Skillshare, he led product management and strategy overseeing the growth, member experience, mobile, and teacher experience products and managing a team of product managers. Leveraging his domain expertise in learning, community and creative, he leads a cross-functional team to deliver features that enhance the user experience and drive business goals.

Previously, he founded and led the Adobe Education Exchange, Adobe's first online community platform for learning and teaching Adobe applications, and grew the community to over 1 million members, generating 150k new Adobe software users per year. He built the first education product team at Adobe and helped develop and grow the team to expand to other products serving Adobe’s education customers.

Matt studied Geology at the College of William and Mary and holds an Ed.M. in Education Technology from Harvard University. He completed the Reforge Engagement + Retention Deep Dive program in 2020. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and cooking, among other hobbies.
